About Us

ICUC is a medical research group with focus on medical education. We are creating a new learning tool based on solid data from some of the world's leading centers.

Case based learning

We deploy a team of well trained surgeons to register surgical procedures and make all cases available to ICUC users. We are committed to full transparency and this has direct implications on the characteristics of our data:

Complete data set of all relevant parts of the surgery enabling display and discussion of critical issues relating to different fracture types

No modification of original data, which implies that results are shown regardless of their surgical quality and outcomes

Display of all consecutive cases registered during a predetermined recording period at different centers

Data is encrypted in order to comply with international regulations on individual health information and to protect the identity of patient and surgeon and allow unbiased comments from experts

Procedures are audited by qualified experts to certify the scientific nature of the project and credibility

Our Mission

Our Mission

is to help resident surgeons review and learn treatments from the world's leading surgeons, building a great product that contributes to the progress of medicine

Our Product

aims to position surgeons at the front line of the operating room, giving access to a complete and unselected series of cases from leading medical centers

Our Conviction

is that transparency adds tremendous value to the practice of medicine

ICUC Centers

ICUC counts on the support of four leading medical centers in Europe and the best medical center in Uruguay, where more than 800 surgical cases have been registered. To be part of the ICUC project, medical centers need to agree with the main concept behind this scientific project: continuous and complete registration by the ICUC team of every surgical procedure performed by selected surgeons during the registration period.
